How can I get extra white teeth?

I recently had my teeth whitened at the dentist's (3 half-hour sessions). This was done using normal office whitening (as opposed to a more expensive laser whitening, which the dentist told me leads to the same result).
I am not really satisfied with the result, it seems one or two degrees lighter but where is that super-white color I see in photos or on TV?
Anyone can advise if there are good products for whitening teeth?
